Arise

Some time ago I covered a couple of words that are related to the marching order of Israel as they tore down and moved the camp. This is found in Bemidebar (Numbers) 2. I related these terms to the order of the resurrection found in 1Corinthians 15. We learned that the same word used for order in the resurrection is the same term used only for the order of the 12 tribes. We also learned that the word used to describe the tearing down of the tabernacle was the same word used to describe death.
Another interesting word is found in the setting up of the tabernacle when reaching the promised land. In Bemidebar we read:
Bemidebar 1:51And when the tabernacle setteth forward, the Levites shall take it down: and when the tabernacle is to be pitched, the Levites shall set it up: and the stranger who comes near shall be put to death.
The words set up here is the word qum (קום) in the Hebrew. The word in the LXX here is anastasis (άναστησις). This is the Greek word translated as resurrection in the New Testament.
Shalom Alecheim! ◊
